Rows Of Rangga & Cinta Soundtracks Officially Released, Nostalgia With Touch

JAKARTA - One of the unforgettable things about the line-up of the film Apa Dengan Cinta? is the soundtrack. In 2025 Miles Films again presented Rangga & Cinta with a row of accompanying songs that were no less iconic.

Rangga & Cinta: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was released in collaboration with Trinity Optima Production, Melly Goeslaw & Anto Hoed, and Aquarius Pustaka Musika today, October 3, 2025. This album is also a celebration of the screening of the film Rangga & Cinta directed by Riri Riza in cinemas throughout Indonesia.

The main single titled Rangga Cinta sung by Bilal Indrajaya and Eva Celia has already been introduced. There is also the song Wanting to Love and Be Loved which was sung by the latest Love actor, Leya Princy.

With one more film around the world What's with Love?, it would be less if Rangga & Cinta was not accompanied by the soundtrack album which was again handled by Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed as the songwriter and producer.

"What's with Melly and Cinta? It's the same as me and Riri: it's close to all of us," said Mira Lesmana, producer of the film Rangga & Cinta in a written statement.

In accordance with the initial concept, Rangga & Cinta is What's with Love? which is packaged for a new generation. In line with that, OMPS 'Rangga & Cinta' is also packaged as a nostalgic album with a modern touch.

Most of the classic works that originally existed in AADC but with fresh arrangements and sound followed the times without eliminating strong characters from iconic songs like Bimbang and About A.

"I've heard a lot of music, so what I've got lately has been an inspiration," said Anto Hoed, soundtrack music producer 'Rangga & Cinta'. Thus, don't be surprised when you hear 'I'm Happy' which is now wrapped in indie rock music, or 'Where Malumu' is packaged with the sound of electro pop.

One main thing that distinguishes Rangga & Cinta from Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? is this new film has a strong musical feel. As a result, this time it is not Melly Goeslaw's vocal voice that fills these songs like in the soundtrack of the film 'What's with Love?', but the cast of Rangga & Cinta itself such as El Putra Sarira as Rangga, Leya Princy as Cinta, and young recording artist Rafi Sudirman who plays Borne and injects the right energy to Trully, Madly, Deeply Hate You which is full of distorted guitars.

I am very happy to be able to sing AADC iconic songs because I say big with the films and songs from the film. Moreover, I also sang a new song in the film Rangga & Cinta," said Leya.

In addition to classic and original songs from Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?, there are several songs created specifically for the film Rangga & Cinta following the needs of the story, namely For Rangga sung by Leya Princy, and Where' - an interpolation from the iconic song What's with Love? - sung by the cast of the Love Gang, namely Kyandra Sembel, Jasmine Nadya, Daniella Tumiwa andpriana.

In addition, there is also Rangga Cinta, the theme song for the film Rangga & Cinta performed by Bilal Indrajaya and Eva Celia with music composed by Melly Goeslaw and lyrics written by Melly which was later developed by Mira.

In the midst of filming, the idea of making a theme song emerged which can tell the story of Rangga and Cinta. Typical of the world What's with Love?, there's always a duet: Melly duet with Eric in 'What's with Love?', Melly duet with Marthino Lio in the song 'Hundred Purnama' from the film What's with Love 2,' said Mira.

"For this theme song, we are looking for a singer whose voice is good but in contrast to the cast's children. That's why we chose Bilal whose voice was heavy and Eva whose voice was unique," concluded Melly.
