Undergoing The Defendant's Examination, Nikita Mirzani Complains Of Back Pain In The Neck
JAKARTA - After examining expert witnesses, Nikita Mirzani's trial was followed by the examination of the defendant alias Nikita Mirzani herself. However, before the trial was suspended by the judge, Nikita's attorney, Usman Lawara, conveyed that his client's declining health condition.
"This is the condition of the defendant, I've been applying for treatment since yesterday. Now it has an impact, the defendant is a bit hot in the back," said Usman Lawara during a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, October 2.
Responding to this, Chief Judge Khairul Soleh emphasized that the request for a medical permit must be accompanied by official documents from the hospital.
"So, we have conveyed this for a long time. Requests have been submitted, please submit the delivery. But what is there is only an application, not accompanied by a letter from the hospital, right," replied Khairul Soleh.
The judge also added that without a medical certificate, his party could not give permission.
"We are waiting for a letter from the hospital, which is indeed from the results of the outside lab, it is necessary for outside treatment. So there is nothing. If there is no way we want to allow it," he continued.
The judge reiterated the statement so that the defendant would complete the required documents.
"If it hurts, it's quickly equipped. Already know it hurts but it's not equipped, how do we want to allow it, right. That's how it is," he continued.
During the trial, Nikita Mirzani also replied to his therapeutic needs.
"Your Honor's permission. It's not that the detention center doesn't want to issue it, but the detention center already knows that I have to therapy twice a week," said Nikita.
The judge then emphasized the importance of administrative completeness so that the application could be processed.
"So we say yes, formality for us is important. The detention center whether we want to allow it or not, we have to read that. And that has been conveyed several times, right? I never refused, right," explained Khairul Soleh.
According to him, the latest application is still not equipped with hospital documents.
"That's why I just received the letter yesterday. I checked where the letter was at the hospital, there wasn't any like that. If there wasn't where I wanted to issue the determination, what was the basis, right? Of course, the prosecutor also rejected the determination later.
Finally, the panel of judges reiterated that the court had never rejected the request if the requirements were met.
