Pertalite Consumption Reduces To 76,970 KL Per Day, KESDM: Pertalite Compensation Drops
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Laode Sulaeman revealed that Pertalite daily sales decreased by 5.10 percent. Laode said, based on his records, Pertalite consumption in 2024 was recorded at 81,106 kiloliters (KL) per day. Meanwhile, until July 2025, it was recorded only 76,970 clusters per day.
"So, if we look here from Pertalite's daily sales, which in 2024 was 81,106 KL, down to 76,970 KL or down about 5.10 percent in 2025," said Laode in a Hearing Meeting with Commission XII quoted Thursday, October 2.
In the midst of the decline, Laode also mentioned an increase in daily consumption from Pertalite Fuel (RON 90) to non-subsidized fuel. As of July 2025, non-subsidized fuel consumption was recorded at 22,723 KL per day when compared to 2024 which was recorded at 19,061 KL per day or an increase of 19.21 percent.
Laode said, with the decline in Pertalite consumption, the Government's subsidized fuel compensation to Pertamina as a business entity also decreased. He estimates that there will be a decrease in compensation of IDR 12.61 trillion or a decrease of 25.77 percent.

The estimated sales of gasoline throughout 2025 are 1.4 million KL, while non-subsidized gasoline sales are projected at 7 million KL.
"Then the estimated sales of non-subsidized gasoline in 2025, which is non-pertamina, amounted to 1.35 million KL or an increase of 0.64 million KL or 91.3 percent," said Laode.
