Ukrainian Floods Hit, 9 People Died Including 1 Child
JAKARTA - Heavy rains led to flooding in feasibility, Ukraine killed at least nine people as of Wednesday, October 1 morning.
The Mayor ofTEN, Gennadiy Trukhanov, said the poor drainage in his area worsened the weather.
"Within seven hours,itude received nearly the equivalent of normal rainfall for two months. There is no system of rainwater disposal channels that can withstand such a burden," he said on the Telegram platform, quoted from AFP.
The Ukrainian State Emergency Service in a separate upload revealed that heavy rains that led to flooding in its area had claimed lives.
"Currently, nine people are known to have died, including a child," wrote the Service.

Hundreds of rescue teams worked overnight to evacuate residents from flooded areas and pump water out of buildings.
The service added that 362 people have been rescued so far.
Truckhanov admits the situation faced by its citizens is difficult. However, he made sure things would be "under control."
Bad weather is expected to resume tomorrow.
"Work continues non-stop, both day and night," said Trukhanov.
