Indra Adhitya Demands To Return Chikita Meidy To Return Mahar And Rp938 Million Home Money

TIGARAKSA - Unpleasant fate again happened to Chikita Meidy, who was demanded to return her husband, Indra Adhitya, to return the dowry and Rp938 million in house money consisting of a down payment (DP) of Rp410 million and a house installment that had been paid Rp528 million.

Indra filed the lawsuit at their follow-up divorce trial at the Tigaraksa Religious Court, yesterday and was delivered directly by Chikita after the trial.

"So I was told to pay Indra Rp938 million, my friends," said Chikita Meidy.

"When he paid for the house, he asked me for help to be paid for by the house, which means I deposited it into his account, it means that it was my money. Then I was told to return it to him," continued Chikita.

In response to this, Chikita admitted that she did not hold back tears during the trial because she felt that the love she had given to Indra had to end like this.

"Earlier I burst into tears inside. I'm not the nominal problem. The couple I used to be proud of, I support, it could be like this," said Chikita Meidy.

Seeing this, Ferry Firman Nurwahyu's lawyer gave a response. He emphasized that Indra's demands against Chikita were not justified religiously.

"Requesting the dowry that has been given after the marriage contract is not justified in Islam and is considered an inappropriate and insane act," said Ferry Firman Nurwahyu in a short message to VOI.

He also explained that the dowry that had been handed over by the husband to his wife in the marriage contract had fully become the property of the wife.

"After the marriage contract takes place and the dowry has been handed over by the husband to the wife, then the ownership status is transferred from the husband to the wife completely and is no longer the right of the husband," said Ferry Firman Nurwahyu.
