JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) named two men with the initials Y (38) and JA (30) as suspects in the alleged criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with victim Reni Rahmawati, a resident of Sukabumi Regency, who was dispatched to Guangzhou, China.
The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Hendra Rochmawan said the two suspects had been arrested and examined by investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the West Java Police accompanied by their respective attorneys.
"Brother Y and JA have fulfilled the elements of Article 4 of Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st in conjunction with Article 56 of the Criminal Code," said Hendra in Bandung, Monday, quoted by Antara.
