Government Will Join Karet And BNI City KRL Stations
JAKARTA - Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagadhi held an arrangement meeting for the transit-oriented development (TOD) area in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.
One of the discussion materials is the plan to merge two train stations, namely Commuter Line Karet Station and BNI City Station which are close by.
"Mr. Minister said that he would combine Karet Station with BNI. If it is connected, then transportation connectivity in Jakarta will really be better," said Pramono in the Gambir area, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 29.
In addition, Pramono and Dudy also discussed plans to improve facilities for the Dukuh Atas TOD area which connects KRL Commuter Line access, airport trains, Jakarta MRT, and Jabodebek LRT.
Pramono also reported on the progress of the construction of the MRT Jakarta phase 2A route, the discourse on the MRT east-west route, to the Jakarta LRT phase 1B.
"Hopefully with our discussion today, what is the obstacle to transportation in Jakarta with the approval given by the Ministry of Transportation can be resolved immediately," said Pramono.

Adding, Dudy expressed his hope that the planned development of the Dukuh Atas TOD to the connection between Karet and BNI City Stations will be realized in the near future.
"We will continue to follow up, so that what the people of DKI, especially related to rail public transportation, in particular, can be realized quickly," explained Dudy.
