Palestine Files Full Membership Of BRICS

JAKARTA - Palestine submitted a full membership application for BRICS, but has not received a response, and plans to continue participating as guests.

"We have submitted an application, but, as you know, Palestine has certain conditions. I am sure Palestine will participate in this association as a guest until the requirement allows it to become a full member. We have not received a response," said Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, to RIA Novosti, Friday, September 26.

BRICS is an inter-state association formed in 2006. Initiated by Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, the group will then receive full membership from Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the UAE in 2024.

Indonesia will become a full member of BRICS in 2025.
