Recovering State Losses, Gas Station Owned By Mining Corruption Suspect In Bengkulu Confiscated By The Prosecutor's Office

JAKARTA - The Bengkulu Province High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated land and buildings of a public refueling station (SPBU) owned by Sakya Hussy, one of the suspects in alleged mining corruption

"The land and buildings belonging to the suspect Sakya Hussy. For gas station activities, they are still running even though they are under confiscation," said Head of Operations at the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Wenharnol, in Bengkulu, Friday, as reported by Antara.

Wenharnol said the installation of the confiscation sign was based on a letter of determination of the Seluma District Court and the Seizure Order of the Head of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office.

The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office confiscated the assets of the suspected mining corruption suspects as an effort to recover state losses.

The investigation team for the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office for Special Crimes confiscated assets belonging to the suspect, Mining boss Sakya Hussy, who is also the son of the suspect Main Bebby Hussy, the assets confiscated were in Lubuk Sahung, Sukaraja District, Seluma Regency.

Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) had also confiscated Rp103.36 billion in the alleged mining corruption case in Bengkulu Province.

"This money is money that we confiscated from the criminal act of alleged corruption in the mining sector of PT Ratu Samban Mining. In the form of rupiah, US dollars and Japanese yen," said Bengkulu Attorney General's Assistant for Supervision Andri Kurniawan.

The alleged corruption is estimated to have resulted in state losses reaching Rp500 billion. The case was recorded as one of the largest corruption cases in Bengkulu.

Andri Kurniawan said the money was confiscated from various bank account accounts and then also contained in the form of cash confiscated directly from the hands of the related parties.
