Indonesian Farmers Union Conveys Aspirations To The Government, 6 Farmer Demands

JAKARTA - Representative of the Indonesian Farmers Union (SPI) was received by Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro at the Ministry of State Secretary's Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 24.

General Chairperson of SPI Henry Saragih after the hearing said that his party conveyed 6 demands of farmers. Starting from the pressure to revoke the Job Creation Law to the establishment of the National Agrarian Reform Council.

The SPI demands a total and comprehensive agrarian reform because it sees many problems related to agrarianism in Indonesia.

Even though Indonesia already has the Basic Agrarian Law number 5 of 1960 to TAP MPR Number 9 of 2001.

Henry also asked President Prabowo Subianto to resolve the agrarian conflict in Indonesia.
