The Former Regent Of Situbondo Was Questioned By The KPK Regarding The Procurement Process Of Goods And Services Of The PUPR Service

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the process of procuring goods and services at the Situbondo Regency PUPR Service when examining Karna Suwandi on Tuesday, September 23.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said that he was being questioned at the Class I State Detention Center in Surabaya, East Java.

The former Situbondo Regent was asked for information as a witness to allegations of corruption in receiving gifts or promises related to the management of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) funds as well as the procurement of goods and services in the Situbondo Regency Government in 2021 2024.

"The witness was investigated regarding the process of procuring goods and services at the Situbondo Regency PUPR service," Budi told reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, September 24.

The KPK previously determined to investigate allegations of corruption in the management of national economic recovery funds (PEN) in the Situbondo Regency Government as well as the procurement of goods and services (PBJ) for 2021-2024.

The Regent of Situbondo Karna Suwandi and the Head of the PUPR Service of the Situbondo Regency Government, Eko Prionggo, who was still in office at that time were named suspects. Both are suspected of arranging the winning of the work package.
