Nemangkawi Task Force Conducts Sealing, Reduces KKB Wiggle Room In Puncak Regency, Papua

JAKARTA - Papua Police Chief Irjen Mathius Fakhiri said that nemangkawi task force members are currently trying to separate civilians from armed criminal groups (KKB) in Puncak Regency, especially around Ilaga.

Members have already done a seal so that the KKB can not join the civilians.

It is said that Nemangkawi Task Force consisting of TNI and Police members is trying to do the sealing so that the KKB no longer freely move.

"Nemangkawi task force team is trying to block the movement space of KKB members no longer freely," said Chief of Police Fakhiri reported from Antara, Saturday, May 15.

Chief of Police Fakhiri hopes that this effort can come to fruition. Currently the situation of kamtibmas in Ilaga, the capital of Puncak Regency is still conducive after Thursday, May 13, there was a gunfight in Wuloni that killed one KKB member.

Wuloni Village itself is located quite far from Ilaga. According to the Police Chief, what members do is in accordance with standard operational procedures (SOP).

"Certainly what members do in the handling of KKB has been measured," said Chief of Police Fakhiri.
