Finding The Meaning Of Life Through Reflection And Inspiration Festivals In The Midst Of The City Pikuk
JAKARTA - In the midst of the busyness of big cities, many people feel tired and lose time just to stop for a moment. Even though taking the time to reflect can help us rediscover the meaning of life, maintain mental health, and care more about the surroundings.
This method doesn't always have to be serious, sometimes we can do it while having fun, for example through a festival. One of the things that caught the eye this year was THE 2025 PERURI Bestari Festival: Back to the Roots.
This festival offers a safe space for anyone who wants to reflect, discuss and respond to social and environmental issues, but with a mild and inspiring approach.
The festival which took place at PerURI City Park, South Jakarta, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, raised the theme Back to Roots. This theme is translated into three pillars: Jaga, Serap, and Grow.
The philosophy invites visitors to be more concerned about maintaining the value of life, absorbing wisdom, and then growing in a stronger and more sustainable way.
"PERURI Bestari Festival is not just an event, but a safe space for reflection and alignment in the relationship. In the midst of the swift distraction of modern life, we want to present a light, fun way," said Bestari Festival Co-founder Firza Daud, from the official Bestari Festival statement.
"However, it remains meaningful to discuss big issues such as sustainability, mental health, and the meaning of life. We hope that every conversation that occurs here can become the seeds of change that continue to echo long after the festival ends," he continued.
Each visitor is invited to trace three different zones, each of which has its own philosophy:
1. Guard Zone (Protecting life)
Inspired by the roots of the fibers that strengthen the soil, this zone invites us to recall values and identities that are often forgotten.
2. Absorb the absorbing zone (covering the meaning)
Like hair roots that absorb nutrients, this zone presents more than 10 interactive talk shows. Inspirational names are also present, ranging from Adjie Santosopputro, Riza Putranto, Najeela Shihab, to special sessions with Retno LP Marsudi and Dwina Septiani Wijaya.
3. Growing Zone (Preparing for travel)
Mining a sturdy tunggang root, this zone serves as a reminder for us to return home not only with entertainment, but also with a new spirit to grow.
The festival also received full support from PERURI.
"For PERURI, sustainability is part of the company's DNA. Our support for Bestari Festival is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to building shared awareness, especially the younger generation, to be more concerned about social and environmental values," Dwina Septiani Wijaya, President Director of PERURI.
" Cross-sectoral collaboration is important so that we don't just talk about change, but really create the impact felt by the community," he continued.
Meanwhile, Retno LP Marsudi added her perspective.
"In my experience in the world of diplomacy, I see how basic values such as honesty, concern, and a sense of togetherness are important foundations for building the nation and the world. The philosophy of 'Back to the Roots' carried out by this festival reminds us to return to those values," he said.

With a combination of talk shows, music, arts, and interactive activities, PERURI Bestari Festival 2025 has succeeded in providing a comprehensive experience. This festival is not only a place to talk about big ideas, but also a real practice of how we can get closer to ourselves, others, and nature.
