The Ministry Of MSMEs Facilitates Medium Enterprises In Central Java To Enter The Capital Market

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) expands opportunities for middle-aged entrepreneurs in Central Java to be involved in the capital market.

Deputy for Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of MSMEs Bagus Rachman said based on data from the Single Data Information System (SIDT), the number of medium-sized businesses in Central Java reached 1,158 or ranks third in the province with the highest number of middle-aged entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

"This figure reflects the economic potential that exists in Central Java, and is ready to encourage more medium-sized efforts towards a greater transformation," said Bagus, quoted on Saturday, September 20.

Bagus continued the biggest challenge faced by middle entrepreneurs in Indonesia today, not only about capital, but also a sustainable funding strategy that allows market expansion without large capital.

According to him, the capital market offers this solution, through a mechanism that helps companies grow exponentially.

"THE RISE TO IPO program is present in Semarang as a concrete answer to this need. This is a transformation bridge that encourages medium-sized entrepreneurs to advance to class, from a closed company to an open company, which is more organized, transparent, and competitive, and applies the principles of Good Corporate Good Governance," he said.

According to Bagus, the role of medium-sized businesses is to be a catalyst for the MSME ecosystem as a whole, because actually medium-sized businesses are strategic partners for micro and small businesses.

"By becoming a public company, medium-sized businesses not only strengthen themselves, but also open up opportunities for thousands of micro and small businesses to develop," he said.

Bagus also invited all related parties to support each other in the development of the MSME business partnership ecosystem, play an active role in empowering MSME entrepreneurs to be able to compete on the national stage, and have competitiveness in the global market through the capital market.

According to Bagus, the RISE TO IPO program, which was formulated by the Ministry of MSMEs and in collaboration with PT Bursa Efek Indonesia, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, has a vision of realizing a fair and sustainable economy.

"RISE is an acronym for Reach Inspire Support Elevate. It aims to support medium-sized businesses in the context of business transformation to competitive open enterprise levels," said Bagus.
