Application Notion Launches First AI Agent For Task Automatically
JAKARTA Notion announced the launch of its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent at the Make with Notion event on Thursday, September 18. This agent is designed to automate various tasks.
Launching from TechCrunch, this AI agent uses the entire page and user database as a context. Through this data collection, the agent can automatically create notes and analyses for competing meetings or evaluation reports.
Basically, this feature is very useful for users who often manage information. Notion states that the agent is capable of creating new pages and databases. This tool can also update existing data, properties, or views.
Users can even use the Notion agent from third-party platforms such as Slack and Google Drive. Although this agent is an upgrade to the previously existing AI Notion feature, this agent is better at handling complex multi-step tasks.
The agent can even perform up to 20 minutes of duty in hundreds of pages. In addition, users can also create a 'profile' page for agents. This page serves as a guide, where users can specify reference sources and output styles.

Later, this agent can 'given' the important points stored on the profile page. In a video demo shared by Notion at the launch, the Notion shows a variety of examples of agent use.
For example, this agent can provide feedback for the landing page, create restaurant trackers, and prepare competition analysis reports. Its capabilities vary widely and practically, but still have to be activated manually.
However, Notion plans to immediately release agent capabilities that can work based on schedule or trigger. The company will also release a template library to make it easier for users.
