Note! Government Announces 17 National Holidays 2026, Joint Leave Following

JAKARTA - The government has set 17 national holidays in 2026 through a Joint Decree (SKB) of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, the Minister of Religion, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, and the Minister of Manpower.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno said the decision had been discussed in a ministerial meeting.

"This process has been discussed at echelon 2 and echelon 1, we have just decided. For 2026, the total holiday is 17 days," said Pratikno in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 19.

PANRB Minister Rini Widyantini said that after this stipulation, the government would issue a Presidential Decree for leave with the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in accordance with applicable regulations.

"Later, a Presidential Decree will be issued for collective leave with ASN," said Rini.

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar said the 2026 national holiday decision reflects justice for all religious adherents.

“Sangat adil. Islam lima kali hari liburnya, Kristen Katolik-Protestan empat kali, Hindu satu kali, Buddha satu kali, Konghucu satu kali. Mudah-mudahan semua pihak bisa menikmati,” ujarnya.
