Promise Of Improvement Never Comes, East Lombok Satap School Building Collapses
MATARAM - The building of a one-stop school building (Satap) in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) collapsed, so it could not function optimally.
"It is true that the condition of the one-stop school building in Montong Gading is very concerning, in a badly damaged condition," said Secretary of the East Lombok Education and Culture Office (Dikbud) Jamiludin in East Lombok, Antara, Friday, September 19.
He said the Sawap Montong Gading building had been damaged since the 2018 earthquake and collapsed due to long damaged conditions.
The plan is to improve the East Lombok Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). However, until now there has been no realization, so this is of course a concern for the East Lombok Dikbud.
"Information about BPBD will fix it," he said.
He said that his party actually wanted to improve the one-stop school, but there was already a commitment from the BPBD to repair it, so his party waited.
"We are still waiting for further information," he said
He said that moreover, the damage was caused by the earthquake, so of course it resulted in disruption of the teaching and learning activity process for students.
"If you can't afford it, it will be our priority scale to improve in 2026," he said.
The East Lombok APBD budget is currently underway, so the building repairs are planned to be carried out in 2026.
