The Indonesian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Holds INALAC 2025 In The Heart Of Brazil's Business

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has again held an Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean (INALIAC) in Brazil, following the successful implementation from 2019 to 2024.

INALAC Business Mission in Sao Paolo, Brazil was held on September 22-23. This business forum is held as a form of sharpening economic diplomacy, related to the efforts of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue to strengthen its commitment to encourage Indonesia's trade and investment improvement with Latin America and the Caribbean.

Carrying the theme "Charting Towards Sustainable and Resilient Business Partnerships", Indonesia and the region will continue business collaboration with a focus on developing new partnerships that are sustainable and more resilient in the midst of global challenges," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, Thursday, September 18.

Sao Paolo was chosen to host this year, given its strategic position as Brazil's largest business center, as well as for Latin America and the Caribbean region, with a contribution of more than 30 percent to Brazil's GDP as well as a strong trade and financial ecosystem.

In this business mission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs facilitated more than 15 medium-to-large Indonesian business actors, to promote superior products in the energy, automotive, health, food and beverage sectors, to strategic industries.

Later, this business mission in Sao Paolo will bring together Indonesian business people with 200 targeted business people according to the sector, through a series of activities including table top exhibition, business pitching, business matching and networking events as well as field visits to business partners in Srypto Paulo.

The Latin American and Caribbean regions are important business partners and non-traditional markets that have the potential to support the improvement of the national economy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fully committed to supporting strengthening interaction between business people.

It is known, after five times the INALAC Business Forum in Jakarta (2019-2023), INALAC was held last year in the area, to be precise Peru. The INALAC business mission in Sao Paolo is the 2nd mission to be held in the region.

"The breakthrough was made by bringing the INALAC Business Forum and Trade Mission to Lima, Peru in September 2024 with sweet fruit. INALAC 2024 which was held 11-13 September 2024 was able to record transactions of around Rp. 16.2 trillion, an increase drastically by 157 percent," said the Director General of America and Europe at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Umar Hadi at the time.

Indonesia's trade value with Latin America and the Caribbean region recorded a significant increase, from 7.59 billion US dollars in 2018 to 14.43 billion US dollars in 2024.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that this forum will further strengthen Indonesia's economic relations with Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as support Indonesia's economic diplomacy strengthening agenda at the global level.
