Google Meet Will Present Ask Gemini Features To Support Meetings
JAKARTA Google is again expanding Ask Gemini's features to more products. This time, Google will roll out the feature to Google Meet, a video conferencing platform.
This feature allows users to quickly submit any commands or questions to Gemini. Thanks to Ask Gemini's integration on Google Meet, they can summarize ongoing discussions or get a real-time summary.
With these two features, users can keep getting information and won't miss the important points. In addition, Ask Gemini can also identify the main points, decisions, and actions that users can take during the meeting.
If users are late in joining the meeting, this feature can help them catch up on topics that have been missed. However, this can only be done if the Take Notes for Me feature is activated before the user joins.
The interaction and response of Ask Gemini is personal for each user. Gemini will produce answers by referring to meeting captions, Google Workspace documents, and content from web searches.

It is important to note that there is no information or meeting data that will be stored by Google or Gemini after the meeting ends. Using this feature will also not make any recordings so that user privacy is ensured to be maintained.
Currently, Ask Gemini only supports meetings in English and is only available on desktop. Support for languages and other platforms will soon be present in the future. This feature is not available in group workspaces or breakout rooms.
This feature will be launched in stages starting at the end of September for the Fast Release Domain. Meanwhile, the Scheduled Release Domain will get its features in October. For now, only Google Workspace Business Plus subscribers can use the feature.
