UN Investigator: Israel Performs Genocide In Gaza Like The Massacre In Rwanda

JAKARTA - United Nations (UN) investigators consider Israel's genocide efforts in Gaza to be similar to the massacre in Rwanda.

One of the main UN investigators who is also a former judge in South Africa, Navi Pillay, hopes that the current leader of the Israeli regime will be thrown into prison someday.

"I don't think there will be arrests and courts in the future," Navi Pillay said in an interview session Thursday, September 18, quoted by AFP.

UN investigators or the UN Independent International Research Commission (COI) on Tuesday, September 16 stated that Israel committed genocide in Gaza with its actions targeting the destruction of Palestinians in Gaza.

The Navi Pillay, who led an international court for the genocide of Rwanda in 1994, added that justice "is a slow process".

The figure, who served as head of UN human rights, then quoted the late South African anti-apartheid figure, Nelson Mandela.

"It always feels impossible until it happens," said Navi Pillay.
