Kemenpora's Estafet Stick Certificate, Dito Ariotedjo Lega Calls Erick Thohir More 'Galak'
JAKARTA - The former Minister of Youth and Sports for the 2023 '2025 period, Dito Ariotedjo, said he was relieved that his position was now replaced by Erick Thohir as Minister of Youth and Sports for the 2025'2029 period.
"I am relieved because finally my replacement is someone who in the world of sports no longer needs to be questioned," said Dito Ariotedjo in his remarks at the handover ceremony for the position of Minister of Youth and Sports in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 18.
Dito said that while leading the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he learned a lot from Erick Thohir. He even called himself Erick Thohir's 'tual education' in the world of sports.
"So don't be afraid, similar styles, but Mr. Erick may be more 'galak' because he is from Lampung, if I am from Solo," said Dito comparing the two.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat who accompanied him for 11 months. Dito assessed Taufik as one of the best deputy ministers in the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Even though we have different opinions, everything is resolved with discussion. So Mr. Erick must be grateful because he has a deputy minister who is upright and very supportive," he said.
Dito added that during his tenure he continued the struggle of the previous minister, Zainudin Amali, to increase the performance allowance by 70 percent. He believes the allowance can increase to 100 percent during Erick Thohir's leadership.
"In addition, we strengthen human resources at the Ministry of Youth and Sports through education and training. If the resources at the Ministry of Youth and Sports are not strong, how do we make youth and sports more advanced," said Dito.
