Honda Records 6 Percent Increase In Sales In August, Hybrid And Brio Line Becomes Mainstay

JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) reported a positive achievement in August with retail sales increasing compared to last year. The figure is up to 6 percent, totaling 5,317 units.

The hybrid line has boosted Honda's retail sales, as well as Honda Brio's consistency as Honda's best-selling model in Indonesia. So what are the details?

Honda's hybrid cars recorded positive performance in various models, ranging from Honda HR-V recording 780 units, up 11 percent from July 2025, with variants e: HEV dominating more than half of total sales. Honda CR-V e: HEV posted sales of 121 units, up 15 percent compared to the previous month.

Meanwhile, the Honda Step WGN e: HEV contributed 92 units on its second month in the Indonesian market. In addition, Honda's hybrid sedan model also recorded stable sales of 34 units.

Outside the hybrid line, Honda Brio experienced an increase in sales compared to the previous month and remains the largest contributor with sales of 3,130 units or 59 percent of Honda's total sales in August. Stylish design, fuel efficiency, and ease of ownership make Brio remain the main choice in the city car segment.

Another model also contributed that the Honda WR-V with 761 units was sold and became the Honda model, which experienced the highest increase of 37 percent compared to the previous month, meanwhile the Honda BR-V sold 307 units.

Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Yusak Billy, said this achievement showed a positive consumer response to Honda products, especially the hybrid e: HEV line, especially Honda HR-V and Step WGN, one of which was the realization of orders at the automotive exhibition that took place last month.

"Meanwhile, in the midst of dynamic market conditions, we are trying to continue to stimulate the market by strengthening services and presenting various ownership facilities programs so that consumers will find it easier to experience a pleasant driving experience and quality after-sale service," he said, through an official statement received, Wednesday, September 17.

Then for September 2025, Honda presents an interesting sales program, ranging from light DP, long tenors, low interest rates, to a trade-in program through the Honda Certified Used Car network, which makes it easier for consumers to exchange their old vehicles for the latest Honda model.
