Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Sends A Team To Find 3 Missing People After The End Of August Demo

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Human Rights (HAM) has dispatched a team to search for three people who were reported missing after the demonstration at the end of August 2025.

The three people who were reported missing were Bima Permana Putra, Muhammad Farhan Hamid, and Reno Syaputradewo.

"I have dispatched three teams, those who communicate with the families of the missing person," said Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 16.

In addition to communicating with his family, Pigai said his team also checked with the resort police (polres) and the local police (polda) closest to where the three people had been missing.

He hopes that from the decline in the team, there will be reports no later than one week, regarding the development of the three missing people.

However, he said it was actually too soon to conclude that the three people were missing, especially if no profiling (profiling) had been carried out regarding the role of those people in the demonstration at the end of last August.

The reason, according to Pigai, there is also the possibility that the three people were hiding because they panicked after the post-demonstration riots.

"So we just wait, but we continue to fight. Let's pray that the person concerned returns home," he said.

Previously, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, revealed that three people who were reported missing after the demonstration were known to his party through social media.

Therefore, said Wira, Polda Metro Jaya has formed a complaint post for missing people at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya building.

"We have received this information from social media as well. Of course, we from Polda Metro have now made a complaint post for missing people in the Satiaha Prabu Hall, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya," said Wira.

However, said Wira, there has been no official report to his party regarding the three people who were reported missing.

"If the report so far, for offline reports, it means that people have come, no one has come. Then WA also a lot just say thank you for forming the post, but in detail for the report, reporting that people are missing, not yet there," said Wira.

His party has formed a joint team to search for missing persons.
