UN Investigator: Israel Proven To Do Genocide In Gaza

JAKARTA - United Nations (UN) investigators on Tuesday 16 September declared Israel committing genocide in Gaza with actions that have destroyed Palestinians in Gaza.

The United Nations (COI) Independent International Research Commission, which does not represent the world body, found the facts that Israel was proven to have committed genocide in Gaza.

"Genosida is happening in Gaza and continues to occur," said Chairman of the COI Commission Navi Pillay, quoted from AFP.

"The responsibility is in the hands of the State of Israel," he continued.

Seperti respons sebelum-sebelumnya yang dilayangkan negara-negara serta masyarakat internasional atas tuduhan yang sama terkait genociasi di Gaza, Israel membantahnya.

"Israel firmly rejected this deviant and false report and called for the immediate dissolution of the Inquiry Commission," the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday, September 16.

The commission, tasked with investigating the human rights situation in Israeli-occupied Palestinian territory, published its latest report nearly two years after Israel's military ground invasion of Gaza since October 2023.

Based on data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza deemed reliable by the United Nations, nearly 65,000 people have died in Gaza since the Israeli military invasion.

The data also states that most Gazans have fled at least once, with more mass evacuations underway as Israel steppes up further military operations to control the entire Gaza City which has been hit by massive hunger.
