Boss Of Authority: Budget For Leadership Houses And Legislative Members At IKN Reaches IDR 4.73 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) development project in East Kalimantan is still ongoing today.
After various basic infrastructures, now it's the turn of housing for the people's representatives.
The government announced that the construction of houses for the leadership and members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) at IKN will begin in 2025 soon.
The ambitious project cost a fantastic budget of IDR 4.73 trillion.
Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the plan was after attending a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission II of the DPR, Monday, September 15.
"It started this year. What is currently being tendered, hopefully by the end of September or early October it will have signed a contract," said Basuki.
The residential project will be worked on with a multi-year contract scheme (MYC) for 2025-2027.
The total occupancy to be built for the leadership and members of the DPR RI has reached 732 units.
The choice between landed houses and flats (rusun) is determined by the position and availability of land in IKN.
Here are the details:
18 landed housing units for the leaders of the DPR RI. Three units for the Chairperson of the DPR and 15 units for the Deputy Speaker of the DPR, with each residence covering an area of 580 square meters.
714 vertical residential units for council members. The details are 567 flats for members of the DPR RI and 147 flats for DPD members. Each unit of the flat has an area of 390 square meters.
The selection of flats for council members is a logical solution to save land in IKN. According to Basuki, if you use a landed house, the land needed will be much wider.

"Because once the landed house, it needs 567 plus 147, it needs more land," explained Basuki.
Although the total budget requirement reached IDR 4.73 trillion, Basuki said, the budget tendered in 2025 was IDR 3.68 trillion.
The budget will be divided into seven work packages, including the construction of a legislative area building, three road packages, two reservoir packages, one pool package and a support network package.
