BRI Says It Has Received IDR 55 Trillion Government Fund Placement To Strengthen MSMEs

JAKARTA - Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has received a placement of funds from the Government of IDR 55 trillion.

BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny said that his party welcomed this policy because it would strengthen liquidity, especially in lending to the MSME sector.

"BRI has received a placement of Government funds of Rp55 trillion and positively welcomes the placement of these Government funds which will strengthen bank liquidity in lending, especially in the MSME segment," he told VOI, Monday, September 15.

He explained that the placement of these funds is expected to be able to have a positive multiplier effect for national economic growth.

Dhanny said that in its management, BRI will always apply prudential banking principles and maintain good governance standards.

"BRI will continue to prioritize prudential banking principles and good governance in managing the placement of the Government," he concluded.

Previously, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadive ensured that the distribution of government funds amounting to Rp200 trillion to five national banks would begin to be distributed on Friday, September 12, 2025.

As for previously planned for six banks, currently only five national banks are planned.

"Yesterday I promised to place Rp200 trillion in banking funds, now it has been decided and this afternoon it will be distributed, we will send this road to 5 banks," he said when met before a meeting with Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Office, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 12.

The five banks in question are Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Mandiri, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI).

Dia menyampaikan, Bank Mandiri, BNI, dan BRI masing-masing akan menerima Rp55 triliun.

Sementara itu, BTN akan menerima Rp25 triliun, dan BSI sebesar Rp10 triliun.

Purbaya menyampaikan dana tersebut berasal dari cadangan pemerintah di Bank Indonesia (BI), dan telah resmi melalui Keputusan Menteri Keuangan (KMK) yang telah ditandatangani.

He said that Bank Mandiri, BNI, and BRI would each receive IDR 55 trillion.

Meanwhile, BTN will receive IDR 25 trillion, and BSI IDR 10 trillion.

Purbaya said the funds came from government reserves at Bank Indonesia (BI), and had been officially through a signed Decree of the Minister of Finance (KMK).
