Citizens Forced To Enter Public Cemetery Tanah Kusir For Pilgrimage
JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Cemetery Implementation Unit (TPU) Tanah Kusir Gunawan admitted that there are still residents who forced entry to make pilgrimages.
In fact, regional heads in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) agreed to close the TPU for pilgrimage until Saturday, May 15.

Gunawan said, there is still 20 percent of pilgrims who force entry from the condition of pilgrims before Ramadan. Despite knowing that pilgrimage is prohibited, the heirs use various reasons to keep making pilgrimages.

As a result, the government agreed to close the TPU in Jabodetabek for grave pilgrimage during the Eid holidays.
"All cemeteries in Jabodetabek will be closed from visitors for pilgrimage", Anies said after a meeting at DKI Hall City, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 10.
The closing of the funeral for the pilgrimage is valid from May 12-16, 2021. Even so, funeral processions at TPU can still be done.
