The Cost Of Fixing The IPhone Air Outside The Guarantee Makes The Wallet Crying, AppleCare+ Becomes The Solution

Jakarta Along with the opening of the iPhone Air pre-order period, Apple has finally released details of the cost of repairing this device if it is damaged outside the official guarantee. For users who plan to buy iPhone Air, get ready to check properly if they don't take AppleCare+.

IPhone repairs are notoriously expensive, especially if they are done at the Apple Store. Indeed, there is an option for third-party workshops, but the risk is that the spare parts used are not necessarily genuine. With official repairs from Apple, the components installed are guaranteed original, but the price can be surprising.

The following is a list of iPhone Air repair costs outside of warranty according to Apple:

Screen cracked (front only): 329 US dollars (around Rp. 5.1 million)

Back glass damage: 159 US dollars (around Rp 2.5 million)

Front screen + rear glass is broken: $419 (approximately IDR 6.6 million)

Battery change: 119 US dollars (around Rp 1.8 million)

Change rear camera: 169 US dollars (around Rp 2.6 million)

Another damage: 699 US dollars (around Rp 11 million)

"Other damage" costs likely mean full replacement of the unit, so the price is close to 999, almost the same as buying a new iPhone Air.

AppleCare+ is clearly a savior, as repair costs can drop drastically to only $29, even battery replacement can be free. For the iPhone Air, AppleCare+ costs 13.99 US dollars per month or 139.99 US dollars per year with additional protection for theft and loss.

There is also the AppleCare One option for 19.99 US dollars per month that protects up to three Apple devices at once.

The iPhone Air can be ordered starting today and will be officially sold on September 19 alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
