Allegedly Natural Mental Disorder, Motorcyclist Aniaya Polantas Returned

The police have decided to repatriate the motorcyclist with the initials AAF who was arrested for molesting the traffic police (Polantas). The reason is because the driver is suspected of having a mental disorder.

"We also understand that this perpetrator is struggling with his severe mental health condition," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro in his statement, Saturday, September 13.

The perpetrator is said to have had a mental disorder based on medical documents in the form of a mental post-mortem from the Kramat Jati Police Hospital and a certificate of returning home from the Suharto Heerdjan Mental Hospital (Grogol Hospital) submitted by the family.

From the document, it is known that AAF is suspected of having a severe mental disorder or scheme.

The perpetrator was sent home to his family for proper medical treatment with supervision from the authorities.

Even so, he said the process of investigating this case was still continuing by waiting for the official results from the perpetrator's medical examination.

"In law enforcement, we are not only seeking justice, but also trying to put humans above all else. We want this case to serve as a reminder that the handling of mental health issues must be a serious concern in society," said Susatyo.

As previously reported, a member of the Sawah Besar Police Traffic Unit became a victim of persecution while on duty to regulate traffic in the Gunung Sahari area, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

The incident occurred precisely in front of the Iron Gate TL Traffic Post, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Pasar Baru Village, Sawah Besar District on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The victim with the initials R (29), a member of the National Police who at that time replaced his colleague managing traffic, was suddenly approached by an unknown man.

The man immediately hit the victim's left cheek with his bare hands, causing bruises.

The incident began when NH (41), a colleague of the victim, saw a motorcyclist riding without wearing a helmet, all crossing from Senen to Ancol.

When trying to stop the vehicle, the driver avoided and the head of the perpetrator hit the officer's hand until his hat fell. The perpetrator fled.

Beberapa saat kemudian, pelaku kembali ke lokasi untuk mengambil topinya.

Namun pelaku menghampiri korban R dan langsung memukul wajah korban anggota Polri tersebut.

Dengan cepat, pelaku langsung diamankan petugas atas perbuatannya. Pelaku kemudian dibawa ke Polsek Sawah Besar guna proses lebih lanjut.

Moments later, the perpetrator returned to the location to take his hat.

However, the perpetrator approached victim R and immediately hit the victim in the face of the Police.

Quickly, the perpetrator was immediately secured by officers for his actions. The perpetrator was then taken to the Sawah Besar Police for further processing.
