10 The Most Beautiful Villages In The Forbes Version Of The World, Indonesia Is On The List?
JAKARTA - Talking about villages with charming panorama, the world has a lot of choices. Forbes has just released a list of the 50 most beautiful villages in the world and interestingly the top 10 are dominated by Europe.
This list was compiled by Forbes with Unforgettable Travel Company, a travel agent known to provide an anti-mainstream tourism experience.
Each village is chosen because of its classic charm, a warm atmosphere is still alive, to natural attractions that make people feel at home for a long time.
Just imagine, you stay in a tiny rock hut, walk along a winding road in the middle of a bush, then fall asleep accompanied by the sound of the river gurgling. Calm down, peaceful, as well as romantic.
The first winner fell to Bibury, a small village in the rural area of Cotswolds, England. Art figure William Morris once called Bibury the most beautiful village in England.
Houses of stone lined up neatly like postcards, plus natural life that is still beautiful. This makes the village a tourist magnet.
It was so crowded that some residents wanted to prohibit big buses from entering the narrow road of the village. But if you are ready to walk and enjoy the atmosphere slowly, local residents will welcome it warmly.
In second place is Hallstatt in Austria. This village is located on the edge of a sparkling Lake Hallstatt. An old wooden house that sticks to a steep cliff, a balcony full of red geranium flowers, to a traditional market that lives into everyday views.
Hallstatt really looks like a painting. No wonder this small village of 700 people can be invaded by 10 thousand tourists per day.

Any from Indonesia?
Unfortunately, in the Forbes list of the top 10 there are no names from Indonesia. However, this does not mean that villages in the country are less beautiful. Indonesia has a Penglipuran Village in Bali which is famous for its cleanliness, Wae Rebo Village in Flores with its typical conical house, or Sade Village in Lombok which still maintains the Sasak Tribe tradition.
