Wants RDF Rorotan To Be Inaugurated By Prabowo, Pramono: The Investment Value Is Gede
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he wanted the operation of the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant Rorotan to be inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.
Pramono said he would ask Prabowo's willingness to inaugurate the waste processing facility into alternative fuel if it was ready to operate.
"Anyway, when it's finished, there's no problem, maybe we'll ask the central government. Because after all, the investment value is big," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, September 12.
Meanwhile, currently the DKI Provincial Government is still finalizing the readiness to operate the Rorotan RDF, considering that when tested a few months ago, residents complained about the pollution of the smell of garbage from the facility.
Pramono also responded that there were still concerns about residents over the potential smell of garbage that was still smelled when the RDF in North Jakarta was operated in the future.
To reduce concerns from local residents, Pramono promised to invite them to review the RDF location to ensure pollution no longer occurs before it is finally inaugurated.
"I have asked those who operate, when operated, will invite residents to see firsthand. Because now improvements have been made," he said.
Residents, continued Pramono, are welcome to see the condition of RDF Rorotan at the commissioning stage or testing the installation of waste processing facilities into alternative fuels.

Pramono ensured that emission control facilities such as filter bag equipment, wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP), pre-treatment WESP (second wet scrub), carbon activity, second ID-fan, and CEMS were installed when commissioning was carried out.
"I asked before the commissioning, yes, residents were invited to see. That what we promised, we have fulfilled it. Even including installing indicators for later smell and so on, I have asked for everything to be installed," explained Pramono.
Recently, residents of the Jakarta Garden City RW 14 housing complex, Cakung Timur Village, are still worried that the operation of the RDF Plant Rorotan is still polluting an unpleasant odor.
They admitted that until now the RDF Rorotan manager has not shown an analysis document regarding the environmental impact (AMDAL) on the operation of the Rorotan RDF.
