Violating Code Of Ethics, 2 Members Of The Bengkayang West Kalimantan Police Were Fired
The Bengkayang Resort Police, West Kalimantan Police, imposed sanctions for the Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) or dismissal of two personnel who were proven to have violated the discipline and code of ethics of the National Police's profession, today.
Two members who were dismissed, namely Brigadier AE through the Decree of the West Kalimantan Police Chief Number Kep/25/I/2025 dated July 23, 2025 for violating Article 13 paragraph 1 of the Indonesian Government Regulation Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Dismissal of Police Members.
Furthermore, Aipda AS was dismissed based on the Decree of the West Kalimantan Police Chief Number Kep/252/VI/2025 dated July 23, 2025 for violating Article 14 paragraph 1 letter a of Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003.
Bengkayang Police Chief AKBP Syahirul Awab said the dismissal was a firm step for the institution as well as a warning for all personnel not to commit violations that could tarnish the good name of the Police.
"This is not just a punishment, but a lesson so that every member of the National Police is able to improve himself, maintain the image of the institution, and carry out their duties with the mandate," said AKBP Syahirul in Bengkayang, Antara, Thursday, September 11.
He said PTDH was a form of consistency of the Bengkayang Police in enforcing internal rules, building professionalism, and maintaining public trust.
The police chief hopes that this event will serve as a reminder for all personnel to stay away from disgraceful acts that can harm themselves, their families, and the organization.
The police chief emphasized that this punishment in the form of PTDH is not just a form of punishment, but a form of guidance so that every personnel always introspect and maintain the dignity of the Polri institution.
"On this occasion I give punishment to personnel who cannot carry out their duties with trust and responsibility. This is not just a punishment, but a lesson so that every member of the National Police is able to improve and carry out their duties according to professional rules and ethics," said the Police Chief.
The Bengkayang Police Chief added that this punishment is expected to serve as a reminder for all personnel not to commit violations that can harm themselves, their families, and the National Police institution.
"Today is a strong warning for all of us. Make this incident a mirror so that every personnel always maintains the image of the Police, carries out their duties with full responsibility, and stay away from actions that can tarnish the honor of the organization," he said.
