KPK Ready To Fight Rudy Tanoe's Pretrial Lawsuit Hary Tanoesobjo's Brother In The Corruption Case Of Social Assistance Transportation

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is ready to face a pretrial lawsuit filed by media businessman Hary Tanoesodibjo, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo or Rudy Tanoe.

Bambang filed a pretrial lawsuit against the KPK's decision to determine him as a suspect in alleged corruption in the distribution of rice social assistance to beneficiary families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) for Fiscal Year 2020. He is the President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistics.

"The pretrial is the suspect's right to test whether the determination of the suspect has met the legal provisions or not, the KPK through the Legal Bureau has certainly prepared everything to convince pretrial judges that the determination of the suspect is in accordance with and meets applicable regulations," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rochahyanto to reporters in his statement, Thursday, September 11.

The Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK has also received information from the KPK Legal Bureau regarding the filing of the lawsuit. Meanwhile, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that the KPK Legal Bureau would attend a summons on Monday, September 15, 2025.

"The KPK as the respondent will attend the trial which is scheduled for Monday 15 September 2025, at the South Jakarta District Court," Budi said in a separate statement.

He ensured that the investigation and investigation carried out by the KPK, including in determining the suspect, was in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, both in the formal and material aspects.

"We believe in the objectivity and independence of judges in deciding this pretrial later. We also believe in the commitment of law enforcement that supports efforts to eradicate corruption," said Budi.

"Where law enforcement is of course not only to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators, but also to provide a sense of justice for the community, as well as as an examination and public learning to prevent corruption from happening again," he continued.

Meanwhile, Rudy's pretrial lawsuit is registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number: 102/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL. Bambang sued KPK cq KPK leadership.

The inaugural trial was held on Thursday, September 4. The next trial with the agenda of summoning the respondent (KPK) will be held on Monday, September 15.

In his petitum, Rudy asked the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court to declare that the KPK's action to establish himself as a suspect was an arbitrary act because it was not in accordance with the procedure and was against the law.

Bambang wants the KPK to determine the suspect without binding legal force.

Based on information from VOI sources, Rudy was named a suspect along with Edy Suharto as the former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serves as an expert staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Changes and Social Dynamics and Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistics for 2020-2022.

Meanwhile, the two corporate suspects are PT Dosni Roha Indonesia and PT Dosni Roha Logistik. Both are companies engaged in distribution.
