Continuing To Increase, 404 Gazans Including 141 Children Died Of Starvation
JAKARTA - The number of victims who died as a result of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip caused the Israeli blockade to continue to increase to 404 people, including 141 children.
In the last 24 hours, the Gaza Ministry of Health has recorded five deaths from hunger and malnutrition, one of which is children. Thus, the total death toll is 404, including 141 children," Gaza's Ministry of Health said in a statement by ANTARA from Sputnik-OANA, Wednesday, September 10.
Throughout August 2025, as many as 185 people died from hunger in Gaza, the record high in a month since the siege by Zionists was tightened from March this year.
There are currently 43,000 toddlers and more than 55,000 pregnant and lactating women suffering from malnutrition, according to local authorities.
On August 22 the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) confirmed the rate of hunger disaster in the Gaza Strip for the first time since the beginning of the 2023 conflict.
According to the UN Integrated Food Safety Phase Classification (IPC), there are 5 phases of malnutrition, with phases 3 to 5 marking an acute food crisis.
