As Many As 800,000 Tons Of SPHP Rice Ready To Be Showered To Modern Retail
JAKARTA The National Food Agency (Bapanas) ensures that it will be easier for people to get rice for the Supply Stabilization and Food Price (SPHP) program in modern retail networks such as Indomaret to Alfamart.
Head of the National Food Agency, Arief Prasetyo Adi, said that his party together with Perum Bulog and the Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo) had collaborated to expand the distribution of SPHP rice, and maintain supply stability and national rice prices.
Through a modern retail network, said Arief, Aprindo is committed to distributing 800,000 tons of SPHP rice by the end of 2025.
"With modern retail networks that are widespread, it is easier for people to get rice at prices according to government regulations. This is important to ensure the stability of rice prices at the consumer level," said Arief in his statement, Wednesday, September 10.
Arief said, SPHP rice distributed through modern retail is sold at a price of Rp. 12,500 per kilogram (kg) for zone 1 covering Java, Lampung, South Sumatra, Bali, NTB, and Sulawesi.
Meanwhile, zone 2 covers Sumatra other than Lampung and South Sumatra, NTT, and Kalimantan at a price of Rp. 13,100 per kg. Meanwhile, zone 3 includes Maluku and Papua with a price of SPHP rice of Rp. 13,500 per kg.
"This step is expected to be able to strengthen the effectiveness of the supply stabilization program and rice prices, especially in the midst of increasing public demand," he said.
Meanwhile, General Chairperson of Aprindo Solihin emphasized the commitment of retailers in supporting and assisting government programs by distributing 800,000 tons of SPHP rice by the end of 2025 through around 60,000 Aprindo members outlets.
"With a broad modern retail network, we are optimistic that this distribution can be right on target and reach the wider community," said Solihin.

Di sisi lain, Direktur Utama Perum BULOG Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani mengatakan sinergi dengan ritel modern menjadi salah satu saluran distribusi utama beras SPHP, selain melalui pasar tradisional dan operasi pasar.
“Dengan tambahan saluran dari ritel modern, distribusi beras SPHP akan lebih cepat, merata, dan dapat segera dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat,” kata Rizal.
