KPK Investigation Regarding Corruption PMT Ministry Of Health Immediately Enters The New Round
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said investigations into alleged corruption in the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) for the 2016-2020 period will soon enter a new chapter. The final stage to raise the status of this case to investigation is underway.
"Just wait a minute. The investigation is not yet, but it is in the final stage (investigation, ed) so it is almost final," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, September 10.
Because the investigation is closed, Asep has not been able to detail the case of this case. In addition, he has not been able to divulge who is involved in the alleged PMT corruption.
"Because there has been no investigation, there are no suspects yet," he said.
Even so, Asep once said that corruption was suspected to have occurred due to reduced nutritional content in biscuits as an additional food provided. In fact, this program is intended to help meet nutrition for children and pregnant women in order to prevent tengkes or stunting.
Instead of being nutritious, Asep said, the KPK found allegations that the biscuits given contained only sugar and flour.
"That's where the loss arises, the biscuits do exist but the nutrition is not there," he told reporters, Wednesday, August 6.
Previously reported, the KPK confirmed that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women. The process is said to be carried out by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
Based on the information collected, the investigation has been carried out since early 2024. This alleged rasuah is allegedly rolling in 2016-2020.
The PMT program for toddlers and pregnant women is an effort to improve their nutritional status so as to reduce stunting or tengkes. The form is in the form of biscuits, milk, eggs, and other nutritious foods.
