Ukrainian Woman Smuggles 1.9 Kg Narcotics 4-CMC Blue Safir To Bali
DENPASAR - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Bali Province revealed the modus operandi of a woman from a foreign national from Ukraine, Kateryna Vakarova (21) who smuggled 4-Cloromethcathinone (4-CMC) narcotics, known as Blue Safir weighing 1.9 kilograms.
Investigators from the Madya Division for the Eradication of BNNP Bali Police Commissioner Tri Kuncoro said the narcotics were in the form of 4-CMC class I narcotics with a net weight of 1,991.25 grams he took from Poland to Bali. This is the first time this narcotics has been revealed in Bali.
"He is a courier. His (drugs) were with him, but he did not admit that the item belonged to him," said Kuncoro accompanied by the Head of BNNP Bali Brigadier General Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat, Tuesday, September 9.
Tri explained that KV was arrested on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at around 01.00 WITA at the International Arrival Terminal at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.
The case was revealed when the Ngurah Rai Airport Customs and Excise officer suspected that KV would pass the officer's inspection upon arrival at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
When the inspection procedure was carried out using an X-Ray machine, officers suspected KT's luggage.
From the results of the examination, evidence was found allegedly narcotics in his suitcase.
After laboratory testing, the narcotics entered Group I type 4-CMC with a net weight of 1,991.25 grams.
According to Tri, in smuggling the drugs, KV kept them in the suitcase he was carrying.
The plan is that the drugs will be circulated in Bali for the limited foreign community considering the high price of the CMC.
According to Tri, it is very likely that KV will be tempted by an offer to bring the package to Bali. Moreover, it is the first time KV has entered Bali.
After further investigation, Tri said, KV is suspected of being part of the Golden Crenent international narcotics network.
Golden credit or gold sickle is a term for drug networks that cover Afghanistan, Pakistan, and East Asia.

KV was charged with Article 113 paragraph (2) or Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years.
