PARA Mini Festival 2025, Celebrate Local Food Is Part Of Modern Lifestyle

JAKARTA - The Nusantara Grand Panen Consortium (PARARA) has again presented the 2025 PARARA Mini Festival. This festival will be held at the Literacy Park, Blok M, South Jakarta, with the theme #CareEatLove.

The festival will be a space for local food celebrations, archipelago traditions, and traditional community products aimed at bringing Indonesian people back to life, especially the younger generation.

The Pageralan of this festival is in line with the commemoration of World Food Day 2025, which calls for the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration in creating a just system. to peace. It is hoped that this festival will build public awareness to better appreciate local food, support producers, MSMEs, and indigenous peoples.

"This year, the PARARA Festival is again present with more than 16 communities and displays their superior products ranging from healthy foods, crafts, to fashion works inspired by traditional fabrics," said Head of Steering Committte PARARA, Anang Setiawan, during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Monday, September 8, 2025.

At the festival, there are various activities, such as talk shows & discussions about local food, archipelago traditions, and environmental issues, which can be useful for visitors, especially the younger generation.

There is also a demonstration of local food cooking with Chef Laode (MasterChef Indonesia) and Chef Ragil (NUSA Indonesian Gastronomy), creative workshops for crafting, knitting Papuan nokens from wooden skin threads and making finger dolls, to discussing culinary books & wastra nusantara.

"This year we want to be closer to the younger generation in urban areas, inviting them to make local food part of their lifestyle," he added.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture through the Directorate of Trust Development in God Almighty and Indigenous Peoples also collaborated in this festival. Christriyati Ariani, Head of the Working Team of the Local Nusantara Food Movement, emphasized the importance of lifting food for indigenous peoples to public spaces so that they are increasingly widely known.
