Donald Trump's Murder Attempted Perpetrator Apologizes During Trial
JAKARTA - The defendant Ryan Routh in the attempted murder case of Donald Trump while playing golf in South Florida in 2024 apologized to dozens of jury candidates during his trial on Monday, September 9 local time.
"It's a shame to have brought you all here," Routh said at the federal court building in Fort Pierce, Florida, United States (US), Tuesday, September 9, quoted from AP.
Routh wore a gray sports suit, white-lined red tie, and khaki trousers, during the jury's election agenda.
"Thank you for being here," Routh told the first group of 60 jury candidates brought to the courtroom after US District Judge Total Cannon introduced prosecutors and defendant Routh to trial.

Judge Cannon approved Routh's request to represent himself without being accompanied by a lawyer in the trial of the Donald Trump murder attempt. However, the judge asked the lawyer appointed as the defendant's legal adviser to be on standby if Routh needed.
In the previous trial, which was scheduled to discuss the questions that the defendant planned to ask the jury today, Routh was present in handcuffs at the trial.
Judge Cannon at the hearing dismissed a number of lists of questions Routh wanted to ask the judges in the previous hearing, because they were deemed irrelevant. These questions include asking about their views on Gaza, talks about the acquisition of Greenland by the US, and what they would do if they were driving and seeing turtles on the road.
