Fearing Residents With Guns When Their Actions Were Caught, Police Hunt 2 Perpetrators Of The Ranmor Trial

Police are hunting for two gunmen who attempted to steal a motorbike on Jalan Raya Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta on Sunday, September 7.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Cengkareng Police, AKP Gultom Parman, said that the search for the perpetrator was still being carried out even though the victim had not made a report to the police.

"There has been no report on the victim, because nothing has been taken, residents have shouted at him immediately. But we are still investigating the perpetrators," said Gultom via text message in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 9.

In a viral video uploaded by the Instagram account @cengkarengnews, the two perpetrators are seen stealing a motorbike at a shop on the side of the road.

However, some time later, their actions were caught by residents around the location. The two perpetrators were shocked and went straight to their motorbikes, then fled.

That's when a silver firearm was removed by one of the perpetrators. He used the weapon to scare residents from getting close, so that the two perpetrators who were all covered in clothes could escape.
