MTV VMA 2025 Wins Highest Audience In The Last Six Years

This year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) recorded positive results in terms of the number of viewers. The award event which took place last weekend achieved the highest number in the last six years of broadcast.

The event was successfully watched by more than 5.5 million people on TV channels. The data itself is accumulated from CBS shows, MTV simulcasts and streaming from Paramount +.

There are many factors that make this year's VMAs attract more viewers than in previous years. The factors for the performers, TV channels to the host are often considered by the audience to watch the event.

VMAs became the number 1 entertainment show on CBS at yesterday's event. The audience figure is still under the Grammys held last February.

LL Cool J is the main host for this year's VMAs. In 2022 he was a co-host, and has guided the Grammy Awards five times.

Talking about the Grammy Awards, CBS itself has a long track record showing music awards, including the Grammys that they have broadcast since 1973. Recording Academy, the agency behind the Grammys, has signed a 10-year contract for exclusive broadcasts on ABC.
