Anderson Aims For A Place In The England National Team For The 2026 World Cup After Impressive Debut
JAKARTA - Elliot Anderson said that all eyes were on the 2026 World Cup, but he knew he had to continue his impressive debut with the England National Team (Timnas).
The Nottingham Forest midfielder performed brilliantly in his senior debut match when Thomas Tuchel's side beat Andora 2-0 at Villa Park, making them strong at the top of Group K of the European Zone 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
Anderson has put himself in competition and almost closed an unforgettable debut with a goal in the second half, but he knows he has to prove it.

"I think it's just one game. I'm focused on the next and next matches, to try and make an impact."
"However, it is clear, all eyes are on the 2026 World Cup. It is impossible to run even better than me scoring goals. I should have scored a goal, that's how it is, next time," Anderson said.
Tuchel's team's goals did not flow too heavily because the world's 174th ranked team placed 11 players in their own area.
Although the team's performance was not as weak as the previous match in June 2025 - where England were ridiculed at Barcelona after a 1-0 win against Andora - the audience at Villa Park remained not too impressed.
England will then travel to Serbia headquarters on September 10, 2025 WIB, before returning again to the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers from October to November 2025.
