Donald Trump Makes A Mess Of The 2025 US Open Final

JAKARTA - Donald Trump's presence in the men's singles final at the US Open 2025 has sparked chaos and made the tennis world furious.

In the party, Carlos Alcaraz has arguably shown his most clinical appearance so far - defeating Jannik Sinner in a four-set battle - with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, and 6-4 to win his sixth Grand Slam title on Monday, September 8, 2025, early morning WIB, at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Flushing Meadows.

The trophy saw him close this season with two Grand Slam titles, one of which was earned at the French Open (Roland Garros), and reclaimed world number 1 from Sinner.

Alcaraz now has a 6-1 record in the Grand Slam final and has outstandingly won six Grand Slam titles at the age of 22, making him the second youngest player to achieve the feat after Swedish player Bjorn Borg.

Alcaraz and Sinner have won every Grand Slam title in the last two years. Alcaraz led a record meeting with Sinnr 10-5 and have now won seven of their last eight matches.

The Spaniard then closed the game in less than three hours.

"I want to start with Jannik. It's amazing what you've been doing all season. It's a great level in every tournament you've participated in."

"I see you more often than my own family," Alcaraz said in his classy victory speech.

However, the presence of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the party he has been waiting for has damaged the final atmosphere.

As Alcaraz walked towards the stands to celebrate victory with his team, the camera to arrest President Donald Trump looked less enthusiastic about the outcome of the match.

Previously, Trump's arrival at the men's singles final at the US Open 2025 also disrupted the match schedule.

Trump--came with his lips shaking and couldn't see them applauding while the crowd cheered around--made the fixtures delayed by half an hour due to additional safety measures taking place in the aftermath of his presence.

Alcaraz and Sinner have created competition that is starting to surpass the sport, but preparations for the final are overshadowed by Trump's return to Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2015.

Additional security measures were put in place, including airport-style scanners outside Arthur Ashe Stadium, which caused long queues for fans and postponed matches.

The players who are used to the delays that are usually caused by the weather continue to warm up at the inside of the stadium, with Alcaraz doing body trunk rotation exercises on the gym mat and Sinner playing mini soccer with his team.

Trigger A Joke

Trump - a billionaire born in New York - joins a number of other celebrities who witnessed the fight between Sinner and Alcaraz.

Rolex's main tournament sponsor welcomed Trump at the stands of his stadium, with the president appearing briefly with US Open Director and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

The invitation from the luxury watch maker comes after Trump charged Switzerland a 39 percent tariff as part of his trade war, one of the highest tariffs imposed on US trading partners.

Ketika ia kembali muncul sebelum lagu kebangsaan Amerika Serikat ditayangkan, ia berwarp tangan kepada penonton, yang menyambutnya dengan cheers-rahuhan dan jemohan.

Many fans are angry with Trump's presence because he is still stuck in line outside the stadium, while the match has been going on with many vacant stands.

"The stadium hasn't even filled with half of it. It's really chaotic. It's really embarrassing for everyone involved," said tennis commentator Jose Morgado.

Trump was also fed with tennis reporters and broadcasters.

"Thousands of people trapped outside Arthur Ashe Stadium are waiting to pass a security check. Imagine paying for a ticket to this final and spending the first set (at least) standing outside while crammed forward," said tennis reporter James Gray.

Cem OKian kepada Trump Disensor

The funny thing is, all the annoyances and ridicule from the audience at Trump was not seen on the television screen. You see, it turns out that the broadcast was asked to censor ridicule at the president.

Some US media reports say that the negative reaction to Trump that was not broadcast was an instruction from the organizers.

Apart from that, Alcaraz on Friday, September 5, 2025, said he planned to try not to think about Trump's excitement in the stands, but appreciated the attention his presence would pay to the sport.

"I don't want myself to be nervous about it, but I think attending a tennis game is great for tennis with the presence of the president (in) the final."

The last president to attend the Grand Slam in New York and the first in history to go to the US Open Bill Clinton of the Democratic Party, who watched the women's sector final in 2000.

Trump was also there and had a warm meeting with Clinton, according to photos from the meeting.

Trump has attended a series of sparkling sporting events since returning to office in January 2025.

A number of major sporting events he has visited include the 2025 Club World Cup in New Jersey. At that time, Trump was also ridiculed.

It's different from the Super Bowl, UFC, and the Nascar flight 500 which he gets a warmer welcome.

Trump said he also plans to attend the first day of the Border Cup (tournament of golf) later this month, while preparations are underway to host the UFC match at the White House.

He is expected to return to the city to attend a baseball match on the commemoration of the September 11, 2001 attacks, as well as a speech at the UN General Assembly on September 23, 2025.
