5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Tanimbar Islands, No Tsunami Potential
JAKARTA An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 shook the Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province, on Sunday night at around 22.29 WIB.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through its official website said the epicenter was at coordinates 6.30 South Latitude (LS) and 130.84 East Longitude (BT).
The location is about 192 kilometers northwest of Tanimbar Islands Regency, with a depth of 88 kilometers.

BMKG emphasized that this earthquake information prioritized speed, so that data processing results could change along with the completeness of the data obtained.
Until now, BMKG has not reported in detail the causes or impacts caused by the earthquake on the surrounding community.
