Bogor Regency Government Responsibility Of Maintenance Costs For Victims Of The Collapse Of The Asohiziyah Taklim Council
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto ensured that all medical treatment costs for victims of the collapse of the Asohiziyah Taklim Council building in Sukamakmur Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency, West Java, would be borne by the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).
Rudy emphasized that handling victims is the government's top priority after the incident that killed three people and injured more than 80 worshipers on Sunday, September 7 morning.
"Currently our main focus is on dealing with victims first. The Bogor Regency Government bears all the costs of treatment at the hospital," Rudy said while reviewing the scene, quoted from Antara.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized that the Regency Government would fully assist so that the affected families would not be burdened.
"In the future we will also help and take full responsibility for the needs of the victims," he said.
Rudy added, this disaster is an important lesson so that religious activities with large masses continue to pay attention to the safety aspect. "The spirit of commemorating the Prophet's Birthday must be maintained, but do not let the good goal have a bad impact," he said.
Since the first report was received at 09.42 WIB, the Bogor Regency Government together with joint TNI, Polri, BPBD, Damkar, and volunteers were immediately deployed to the location. The Rapid Response Team (TRC) evacuated dozens of victims from the rubble and took them to a number of hospitals, including Bogor City Hospital, Medika Dramaga Hospital, PMI Hospital, and Ciawi Hospital. Some of the victims were also treated at clinics and health centers around the scene.

Data from the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that three victims died, while dozens of others suffered serious, moderate, or minor injuries. Data collection of victims is still being carried out in hospitals and fields.
The results of the initial analysis of BPBD stated that the building collapsed because the structure was not strong enough to withstand the load, plus its position was on the edge of the cliff, increasing the risk of collapse when the terrace was crowded with worshipers.
