Ahead Of PSG Against Atlanta In The Champions League, Ousmane Dembele And Desire Doue Injured

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced that their two mainstay players, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue, were injured.

The announcement was released on the club's website on Sunday 7 September following the results of a medical examination after the team's training session.

"After leaving the field injured in Ukraine's match against France, Ousmane Dembele suffered a serious right-handed hamstring injury. He is expected to be out for six weeks," the club wrote on its website.

Meanwhile, Desire Doue, a young 19-year-old midfielder, suffered an injury to her right calf.

According to PSG, Doue will need four weeks of recovery.

This injury is a challenge for coach Luis Enrique, especially in the midst of the busy schedules of Ligue 1 and the upcoming Champions League.

PS is known to be playing their first match against Atlanta in the 2025 Champions League on Thursday 18 September.

Dembele, who scored two goals and three assists earlier this season, was an important element in PSG's attack.

Meanwhile, Doue, considered one of France's best young talents, has begun to show its potential in recent times.

According to ESPN FC, Dembele's absence could affect PSG's front line dynamics. Bradley Barcola or Randal Kolo Muani may fill the void due to Dembele's absence.
