Former President Of The Jokowi Era Staff, Arif Budimanta Dies
JAKARTA - Former Special Staff to the 7th President Joko Widodo, Arif Budimanta, who is currently the Chairman of the PP Muhammadiyah Economic, Business and Tourism Council, died on Saturday, September 6 at 06.00 WIB.
Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah for Economics and Business Muhadjir Effendy confirmed the news of the death of Arif Budimanta.
"That's right, I'm at the funeral home," said Muhadjir, who is currently the President's Special Advisor for Hajj Affairs, quoting Antara.
The funeral home of the late Arif Budimanta is in Rawamangun, East Jakarta.
Arif Budimanta is also known as an economist who actively publishes his thoughts on issues of development, MSMEs, and the monetary economy both in the mass media and in international forums.

Apart from being the President's Staff of the Jokowi administration, Arif was also listed as Deputy Chair of the National Economic and Industrial Committee/Presidential advisor in Economic and Industrial Affairs in 2016-2019.
He also helped the Ministry of Finance when he was a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance in 2014-2016. Then his work continued when he became the Expert Team of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture in 2014-2019.
In politics, Arif was also noted to have been a member of the DPR for the 2009-2014 period in the commission in charge of finance, monetary, planning and supervision of development from the PDI-P faction.
