Day6 Extends Contract With JYP Entertainment At The Same Time Marks 10 Years Of Debut
JAKARTA - The pop-rock band from South Korea, Day6, is confirmed to continue working with the JYP Entertainment agency, after extending their exclusive contract today, Friday, September 5.
The announcement of the extension of Sungjin's contract (vocals, guitar), Young K (bass, vocals), Wonpil (keyboards, vocals), and Dowoon (drums) has also been officially announced by the agency.
"We will continue to show our full support for the bright future of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon, and for the fans who support them," JYP Entertainment wrote.
This contract extension marks the second time Day6 has extended its contract with JYP Entertainment since its debut. Merska last signed a new contract with the agency in 2022.

At the same time, Day6 also announced the release of a new album with the title The Decade. The album contains 10 songs: Dream Bus, side Out, Sun, Stay Asleep, Disco Day, My Way, Before The Stars, Take All My Heart, Dream Rider, So Its The End, and Our Season.
The Decade is Day6's first full album since The Book Of Us: Entropy in 2019. Since then, they have released four EPs: The Book Of Us: Demon, The Book Of Us: Negentropy, Fourever, and Band Aid.
In addition, The Decade also marks the tenth anniversary of his debut.
