Bappisus: National Situation Is Safe Pascademonstration, President Emphasizes Dialogue With The People
JAKARTA - Head of the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency (Bappisus) Aries Marsudiyanto emphasized that the current national situation is safe and under control after the demonstrations that have occurred in the last few days.
"Everything is good condition and well resolved. Let us work together, the media must also encourage the sense of unity and integrity of this nation," said Aries when he arrived at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, September 4.
He said President Prabowo Subianto had given directions to all ministries and institutions, including the DPR, to continue to open spaces for dialogue with the people, including students.
"In principle, the President always reminds all elements of the nation to unite because unity is the key for Indonesia to progress. Good communication and coordination will allow this nation to take off," he said.
According to Aries, every problem must be resolved through dialogue, not with violence.
Every problem if communicated, the war is over on the table. No war is over with bombs, everything through coordination, collaboration, communication," he said.
Aries also asked the mass media to play a role in maintaining a conducive atmosphere by prioritizing news that builds unity, not highlighting violence.
He emphasized that all elements of the nation have a responsibility in maintaining security, not only the TNI and Polri.
"Everything is acting professionally. All elements of the nation are responsible for maintaining security," he said.
Regarding the demands of students who were widely discussed by the public, Aries said it would be discussed further according to the President's direction.
