Meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Prabowo: We Need To Intensify Cooperation
President Prabowo Subianto assessed the importance of intensifying mutually beneficial and quality cooperation between Indonesia and China when received by President Xi Jinping.
The bilateral meeting, which was held as President Prabowo complied with President Xi's invitation to Beijing on Wednesday, took place in a friendly atmosphere and marked a joint commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of the two countries.
President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia and the People's Republic of China (RRT) are strategic partners in many fields and have important roles in the region.
"Together, we need to intensify mutual benefits and create high-quality economic cooperation to support sustainable growth and stability in the region," said President Prabowo, launching a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thursday, September 4.
In this bilateral meeting, the two leaders also emphasized their commitment to realizing concrete cooperation in the priority sectors of the two countries.
In addition, the meeting discussed the importance of dialogue and cooperation between countries in the midst of global geopolitical dynamics.
President Prabowo emphasized that multilateralism must be fair, inclusive, and beneficial for all countries. In this regard, Indonesia and China will continue to work together in voicing the aspirations of Global South countries in order to create a more balanced and just international order.

Prior to the bilateral meeting, President Prabowo attended the 80th Anniversary of the End of the Chinese War and the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing.
Indonesia's presence at the event was a form of solidarity with the history of the struggle against colonialism and fascism, which was in line with the values of the spirit of Bandung. The event was also attended by 25 Heads of State and Heads of Government from various countries.
This visit has an important meaning because it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the RRT in 2025.
